The Happenings of LBE

The past few months have been more than a whirlwind for me and my horses, it’s been a completely wild adventure.

Most recently, my three horses have attended Twin Rivers Horse Trials and Woodside International Horse Trials.  The most exciting part of the past few months has been growing a lasting relationship with my newest horse, Castle Larchfield Purdy.  “Purdy” and I competed in the open intermediate and CIC** in the past two shows, finishing in first at both events.  It has been so exciting to invite a syndicate into the mix of competing and knowing my successes are shared with each member.

The next event coming up for the team will be the Galway Downs International Three-Day Event.  This event will be the finale for both Ballingowan Ginger and Purdy, who will be competing in the CCI**.  However, Jitter Bug will only be competing in the preliminary horse trials, because she is now entered to be competing in the Central American and Caribbean Games, which will take place in Veracuz, Mexico on November 20-24.  Attending the games is a truly unique opportunity to get international experience to strengthen my ability to compete on a big stage.  I can’t believe Jitter Bug and I are going to be international travelers in less than a month!  With so much to do and so little time, the horses, my working-student, and I will round out the year with a strong finish and busy schedule.  Thanks for staying tune.  Enjoy the videos below from Purdy’s competition at Woodside, from two weekends ago!
