Take Me to Tokyo Fundraiser

The Evening:

The 2020 Olympics have been an elusive goal after the years of qualifying and the postponement due to the pandemic. After much anticipation, the games are on the horizon with less than 3 months seperating us from the opening ceremonies. Lauren and Purdy have qualified and won a place to compete at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. This will make Lauren a two-time Olympic athlete representing Puerto Rico in equestrian eventing. Please join us in supporting Lauren and Purdy before their departure on July 8.

On June 12, the evening is an opportunity to learn about the Olympic process for Lauren and Purdy and support them in their travels to Tokyo. We will be joined by Jessie Deeter, a filmmaker who was most recently was nominated for an Emmy for her production of “The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley.” Jessie has been working for the past three years on a film following female riders competing in the sport of equestrian eventing vying for a place to compete at the Tokyo Olympics. Watch a sneak peek of Lauren’s story to compete for her seat at the Olympic Games followed by a Q&A session with Lauren and Jessie.
